The Atelier de français is a small firm dedicated to the French language. While it is primarily concerned with teaching, it also offers translations from English and Czech into French, and provides consultancy and training. It is located right in the centre of Prague, with easy access from all over the city by tram and metro.

The Atelier de français offers a range of French language courses. Though individual lessons are always available, you might be more interested in attending group courses. Not only are they much less expensive but they are in many ways more motivating. Groups at the Atelier consist of 4 to a maximum of 8 participants, which is just the right number to keep up a friendly exchange and allow each student sufficient time to practise his or her oral skills.

The Atelier de français has a useful website, whose English version should be completed in the near future. Besides practical information on courses, it also contains items and links for those interested in French language and culture.

You can find more informations about the Atelier de français on our weblog Le Ventilateur and the evolution and development of some of the language courses are also covered in the blog "Cahier de cours" attached to the website.

Michel Lafaye
